When you have some free time, consider hitting some of our favorite spots to ward off cabin fever.
To the mountains. The Utah elevation plus the snow that keeps us working through the winter is an equation for prime mountain activities. From skiing and snowboarding to sledding and tubing, our state has the distinction of possibly being the greatest in the country for practicing the national past-time of sliding down hills. Best of all, Salt Lake County is within short driving distances from some of the best slopes the Rockies have to offer, so the possibilities are endless for easy day trips of any level of activity.
Hint the rinks. From the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City to the Utah Olympic Oval, we’ve got plenty of ice to cover. It’s nice to just get out onto the stuff without having to worry about putting down salt, so get out and glide!
