For our 2012 project we decided to help the men and women who protect our country every day. These men and women risk their lives so that we can live in this wonderful country we call home.
Our project was broken into two areas’ the first was a home remodel for a wounded Veteran who was shot in the head while serving in Afghanistan. Out of respect for their family we don’t have photos of their home or list their names. However we were able to remodel their 2,000 square foot rambler and donate $6,000 to their family to help with medical costs.
The second was a landscaping remodel at the VA Nursing Home in Salt Lake City. We took this area and install a beautiful walkway, waterfall and gazebo. This is a wonderful area that our Veterans can go and relax. In all the projects were valued at $70,000.
