Snow Removal Side Walks Job Opening

Lawn Butler is looking for talented, hard working individuals to join our Snow Removal team for the busy season. The ideal candidate will have reliable transportation, a clear schedule as we work all hours of the day, any day of the week and a hard work ethic. We only work when it snows, so hours per week fluctuate. We offer additional work in addition to snow removal associated to the construction industry.

The position entails working on a three or four person crew, providing reliable snow removal to a variety of clientele in the Salt Lake County areas. Candidates must be hardworking, dependable, honest and committed. This position is on-call based as you will be working dependent on the weather however we also provide additional hours outside of snow removal that can supplement your in snow removal. Crews are usually made up of 2-4 people (refer your friends!) You will be using various pieces of equipment such as snow blowers, salters, ATV’s and different types of shovels (lifting of 50+ pounds may be necessary). Attention to detail is key as safety is our top priority. A valid drivers license is NOT needed, however, reliable transportation will be required to either get you to your designated shop or work site (keep in mind that buses do not run 24/7, and the majority of our work is done overnight while customer buildings are vacant).

Completing training and being able to pass an exam on safety and proper snow removal is required and you will be compensated for your time.

Performance/ Environment Requirements:

  • This position works outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Applicants must be able to work long shifts in heavy snow, be available 24/7, capable of lifting 50 lbs. and capable of working up to 14 hour shifts.
  • Filling out logs of work completed will be a necessity as well, in order to get paid.
  • Proper care and maintenance of the equipment will be part of the position, whether it’s doing the maintenance or reporting those needs through the proper channels.
  • We do provide a uniform via a payroll deduction, however you are in charge of supplying your own boots, jackets, gloves, etc.

Bonuses will be given for employees that are reliable, hard-working, and help out on a consistent basis throughout the winter storms.

A $50 bonus will be paid out to anyone that you refer that completes the training and is assigned a route.

(Pay varies by experience and whether you will be shoveling sidewalks or working with equipment.)

Job Duration:

November to March (Year round employment will be available in Lawn Maintenance program, which has a different pay structure and job requirements)
